CHEF’S RECOMMENDATION
FOR TAIWAN

MUST eat: Stinky Tofu

Stinky TofuTrue to its name, stinky tofu is a type of fermented tofu with a noticeably strong aroma. It’s a hugely popular snack among local Taiwanese, usually served deep fried or grilled with sauce and topped with sour pickled vegetables. Follow your nose in night markets or roadside stands to find this savory treat.

MUST DO: View from top of Taipei 101

Taipei 101 is the iconic landmark that defines the skyline, visible from every corner of the capital city. Standing more than 1,600 feet tall, it held the title of the world’s tallest building from 2004 until the opening of Dubai’s Burj Khalifa in 2010. It is still considered one of the most technologically advanced skyscrapers in the world. Ride to the top observation deck for a magical, panoramic view of the city.
