Jean-Pierre's Bio

Chef JP was born and raised in Lyon, the gastronomic heart of France, where his curiosity & respect for food was borne. He studied Culinary Arts at the respected E'cole Hotel in Nice before migrating to Canada honing his craft in Relax & Chateaux, grand hotels and finally, his own signature boite, Ici Bistro which is now located within the iconic Windsor Arms Hotel. A disciple of classic French cuisine yet a pioneer confident enough in his technique to keep it at once, fresh, captivating and always delicious. JP Challet continues to receive accolades as one of Toronto's most relevant & beloved chefs.
